Experience warm South African hospitality in this gracious and beautiful home, circa 1912, filled with charm and style. Enjoy the comforts of spacious elegant bedrooms where high ceilings and wooden floors offset crisp linen. A full, mouth-watering breakfast is served in a lovely room where a log fire will warm you in winter. The Langeberge offer a backdrop to the sparkling swimming pool and garden.
This beautiful, green gabled and well restored Victorian House (Dating back to 1871) is centrally situated. Steeped in history, the building used to house the first bank in Montagu. Kokkemans Restaurant has been furnished with pieces befitting an original Victorian Home. Each item has been carefully selected and reflects a passion for South Africa’s Diverse and Interesting History.
The restaurant also has Private rooms for small groups and that special gathering.
The menu consists of mouth-watering South African and International dishes.
Outside tables facing Bath Street lends a European feeling and gives a wonderful sight of the everyday life in Montagu.

Montagu is the western gateway to the Little Karoo as well as the scenic heart of Route 62, the historic link between Cape Town, the Garden Route and Port Elizabeth (ADDO Elephant Park).
Montagu is about 2 hours drive from Cape Town. It is the perfect stop for tourists travelling between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Port Elizabeth is about 6 hours drive to the east.
A unique rural atmosphere distinguishes Montagu as one of the best kept late Victorian agricultural villages in the Western Cape. The many attractions and the fact that Montagu is centrally situated makes it a sought after tourist town and perfect base from where the countryside can be explored.
There are a number of hiking trails in the area as well as opportunities for rock climbers. The hot springs just outside of town are very popular. Horse riding, golf, tennis, bowls and other sports can also be exercised.
